Make Money: Tycoon Empire

You start with one shift at work and ten thousand coins in your pocket. You finish with an empire: a taxi fleet, hotels around the world, an airline, a film studio, a soccer club and a spaceport.

YOUR FIRST COINS Three mini-games — mental math, number hunt and a tapper. That is your seed money. After that, the money has to work on its own.

TAXI AND CAR SHARING Cars in thirteen classes, from a Fiat to a Lamborghini. Register the car, hire a driver, pick how it earns: a taxi carries passengers, a car sharing vehicle is rented out.

HOTELS AND TOURISTS Rooms in twenty-four countries, from standard to presidential. Work out the country from the destination and match tourists to the right hotel — a wrong guess costs you rating.

AIRLINE Your own fleet, agreements with countries, flights every day. A half-empty or overbooked plane earns you a fine, so count the passengers.

CINEMA Invite a star, shoot a film, put it on a screen. The star's fee becomes the budget, and every screen pays you daily.

SOCCER AND SPACE Build a line-up, train your players, win matches. Then build a ship, hire a crew and unlock all seven planets of the Solar System.

MONEY AND LAW A bank with deposits and twelve-month loans. Taxes every quarter, reports every month. Miss a deadline and the rate climbs, fines pile up and some sections lock. Hire an accountant so you never watch the calendar, and a dispatcher so the orders handle themselves.

LEADERBOARD Points come from everything you own and from every flight to a planet. Submit your score and see where you stand.

A game day lasts five minutes. The game saves itself, on the device and to iCloud, so your progress survives a reinstall or a new phone.

What’s new

Version 5.1 brings interface fixes and repairs.

• The countdown to the next market refresh moved into the screen header — it is visible again on the car, hotel, aircraft and candidate markets. • Market cards now show the whole photo, and where there is no photo you get the section icon instead of an empty gap. • Background photos are barely dimmed now, and the labels on top of them cast a shadow: the artwork shows and the text still reads. • The Work panel on the main screen is denser — the three shifts read as separate buttons again. • The income, expense and rating breakdown windows are translated; they still showed Russian text in the English build. • Wear on cars and rooms no longer goes negative, and a repair restores the condition in full. • A room worn down to zero no longer takes tourists — repair it first. • The crew of a sold aircraft is released instead of staying busy forever. • With a dispatcher, the report fine is now based on the firm's whole revenue, the same as playing by hand.
